Covid situation in Vietnam, Today (August 12) recorded 9,667 new COVID-19 cases

Recorded 9,180 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

According to the Ministry of Health, from 6 pm on August 12 to 6 pm on August 13, the National System of COVID-19 Case Management recorded 9,180 new infections, including 30 imported cases and 9,150 domestic cases, including 1,999 cases in the community.

The number of specific cases recorded in the following provinces and cities: TP. Ho Chi Minh City (3,531), Binh Duong (2,816), Dong Nai (808), Long An (623), Khanh Hoa (243), Dong Thap (152), Can Tho (142), Tra Vinh (140), Ha Noi (97), Vinh Long (71), Ba Ria - Vung Tau (69), Phu Yen (64), An Giang (61), Tay Ninh (61), Da Nang (58), Thua Thien Hue (31) , Binh Thuan (28), Gia Lai (18), Dak Nong (16), Ha Tinh (15), Nghe An (14), Binh Dinh (12), Quang Ngai (10), Quang Tri (8 ), Kien Giang (8 ), Ninh Thuan (7), Dak Lak (7), Binh Phuoc (7), Bac Lieu (5), Hai Duong (4), Quang Binh (4), Thanh Hoa (4), Lang Son ( 4), Quang Nam (4), Hau Giang (3), Lam Dong (2), Nam Dinh (1), Hung Yen (1), Ca Mau (1).

Thus, in the past 24 hours, the number of infections recorded in the country decreased by 503 cases, of which TP. Ho Chi Minh City reduced 310 cases, Binh Duong decreased 212 cases, Dong Nai decreased 263 cases.

Vietnam ranks "near the bottom of the table" in terms of the number of infections / 1 million people

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 255,748 infections, ranking 80/222 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections/1 million people, Vietnam ranks 172/222 countries and territories (on average, there are 2,601 infections for every 1 million people).

In the fourth outbreak (from April 27, 2021, to the present), the number of new infections recorded in the country is 251,753 cases, of which 89,964 patients have been declared cured.

There are 04/62 provinces and cities that have not recorded new cases in the country for 14 days: Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau.

There are 08 provinces and cities with no secondary infections in the area in the past 14 days: Lao Cai, Kon Tum, Ha Giang, Quang Tri, Yen Bai, Thai Binh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong.

The 5 provinces and cities with the highest number of cases are TP. Ho Chi Minh City (140,539), Binh Duong (39,592), Long An (13,232), Dong Nai (12,047), Dong Thap (4,621).

3,593 patients were declared cured

Regarding the treatment situation, the Ministry of Health said that 3,593 patients were declared cured on August 13.

The total number of cured cases: 92,738 cases.

Several critically ill patients being treated in ICU: 511 cases.

Several critically ill patients receive ECMO: 20 cases.

Recorded 275 deaths

On the afternoon of August 13, the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced on the Information System for the treatment of COVID-19 patients that 275 deaths (4814-5088) had been recorded in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (223), Binh Duong (25), Tien Giang (8), Dong Thap (4), Ben Tre (3), Binh Thuan (3), Dong Nai (3), Long An (3), Khanh Hoa (2), Can Tho (1).

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 as of 13.8 is 5,088, ranking 69 out of 222 countries and territories. But in terms of the mortality rate per million people, Vietnam ranks 161 out of 222 countries and territories (on average, 52 people have died from COVID-19 for 1 million people).

More than 13.2 million doses of vaccine have been administered

In the past 24 hours, 162,820 tests were performed for 617,166 people.

The number of tests from April 27, 2021, to now has done 7,842,864 samples for 22,000,347 turns of people.

On August 12, 1,075,584 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of doses of vaccine injected is 13,256,472 doses, of which the 1 dose is 12,064,617 doses, and the 2nd dose is 1,191,855 doses.
